Mike: Sometimes monsters can be cute:) Yeah, it doesn't really make sense to me either. I just draw it. This sketch started out as a bunch of lines and then it coalesced into a monster. I'm sure you've noticed by now that most of my sketches tend to be monsters. They are in my brain and must get out.
Bakkanekko: I'm thinking of him as soft, similar to a normal caterpillar. The appendages on his behind could be flexible tubes or curly hair tufts. I think I'm leaning towards tufts. I'm glad you like him.
Darrell: OK, we have an artist and a writer, now all we need is a publisher and some funding :)

How do you come up with ideas like this? Half of the things coming out of the creature don't even make sense, but they work really well.
I second that, I found this adorable too, it looks fluffy or ... soft? lol. I love the sketchiness on this.
